Youth and Family Program

The Youth & Family Program provides Hispanic students in grades 5–12 with tutoring, mentorship, and opportunities for leadership. Meeting after school twice weekly at Twin Bluff Middle School and Red Wing High School, students receive academic support, guidance, and encouragement to stay engaged in school and plan for bright futures.

Through this program, students benefit from:

  • Individual and small-group tutoring in core subjects

  • Mentorship from caring tutors who provide guidance and encouragement

  • Leadership and social-emotional skill-building

  • Parent engagement activities to strengthen family support

Impact 2024–2025

  • 34 students participated

  • 11 tutors contributed 662 hours

  • 42 parents engaged in family activities

  • Students demonstrated improved grades, stronger social-emotional skills, and greater confidence

This program helps bridge barriers that Hispanic students face in school while building skills, relationships, and a sense of belonging in the community.
